I was goofing around on Paint and Microsoft PowerPoint when this just kinda... showed up. Ta-da! Other than that, uneventful day. Managed to clean my room (for the first time ever w/o Mom's input!). It's kinda cool to have a clean room. Literally can't remember the last time it was clean... Weird, huh? Sorta sad... wow. But from now on, I'm gonna be more organized. This is a record of it! You would not believe the junk I found while I was cleaning! I found yearbooks, photos, and all sorts of really cool jewellry I forgot I had! I also found so much crap that needed to just be tossed it was unbelieveable. I never realized I was such a packrat. I found inconsequential assignments from KINDERGARTEN!!!! How weird is that? Kindergarten! I have absolutely no clue why I kept them, so they mustn't have been very important... I filled TWO huge trashbags with trash, THREE baskets with dirty clothes (and that's after I had just finished my laundry!), and FOUR bins with random stuff I wanted but couldn't find a place for! Talk about messy!
About 10 o'clock last night I was listening to the Beatles on my iPod, and it hit me. I need a classic music playlist. Somewhere I can put all those songs I learned driving around with Dad. So, I ran downstairs and spent an HOUR transferring Beatles, Beach Boys, The Who, and The Rolling Stones all into one massive playlist that by all rights should've exploded from an overdose of awesome. (I also added 'Smoke on the Water' by Deep Purple, FYI.)
I seriously have no idea how I survived without an iPod. It's sooo awesome! First thing I do in the morning is plug in. I'm not even out of bed and I'm listening to 'Soul Sister' by Train to get me in a bouncy mood. Before I go to bed, I play all the sad, broken-hearted country songs to lull me asleep. Inbetween those times, I'm either rocking out or humming the last tune I played. It's so addictive. Kudos to Josh for selling me that! Odd though you may be, you're still my home-slice-skillet-biscuit-yo. (Yes, I am a dork). :D Guess that about sums up my thoughts of the day.
Love and lemon drops,
Victoria
