Books, books, books!

I've read the best book this week! Raven by Allison Van Diepen (see left). Basically, breaker (for those of you out-of-touch, that means break dancer) Nicole has been in love with her best friend Zin since the day she first saw him dance. He's the only one who can make her forget the troubles of home life. But still, there's something in Zin that he won't share. Something that might just get Nic killed...

I also had a sleepover at Noelle's last night! We were watching Cake Boss and suddenly needed to make cupcakes. So, of course, we found mix, looked up a recipe for the chocolate frosting, and began baking! It was delicious! Love you Noelle!

Other than that, life is pretty dull around here. School starts on the sixteenth, and I'm still not enrolled. :( Yeah, it's a hard knock life.

Banana Duo-Berry Slam

Okay guys, I was making myself a Banana Duo-Berry Slam (yes I named it myself) but something seemed to be missing from it. I took a recipe off the internet and tweaked it. Here's the recipe I used:
Take one peeled banana and break it into chunks. Measure 3/4 cup blueberries and 1/4 cup strawberries. Put in 1 1/2 cups of milk in the blender. Add the fruit. Blend until creamy.
If anyone has any idea what this recipe is missing, please let me know!

Also, I have recently cleaned out my closet. Let me know if any of you are interested in looking at the clothes and I'll send you pictures.
As always, love and lemon drops,

More B-day fun!

Okay, my parents ROCK! Not only did they take me and Noelle to a T-Bones game on Friday, but they also took me to meet... Billy Black! (From Twilight). Awesomeness! I got his autograph in eyeliner, contrary to what the paper said. A male reporter asked us about it, and then wrote it up as a, quote, 'mascara pen'. Huh??????????????? Last time I give an interview to a guy. :D So, the rentals surprised me by taking Noelle with us to the baseball game, and then having her sleep over. The next night, we all went to a 4th of July barbeque. Mom went home early because she wasn't feeling well, but after she left things got interesting. We were all watching the grand finale of a $500 firework display being put on in the back yard when... Yep, the firework box flipped over, spraying explosives all over half the audience! (Not our half, but Noelle spazed anyway! Luv u gurl!) Once it was determined everyone was fine, we were all dying of laughter. I also read Fang, book 6 of the Maximum Ride series today (See left). Really good, can't wait for the next one! Go James Patterson! All in all, a pretty awesome weekend, and it isn't even my birthday yet! 7 days people, watcha getting me???? :D

Books & Manga

Hey people of the InterWeb! Sorry it's been so long in updating, but here's the low-down.

My madre (mother for those of you without any knowledge of Spanish), who is the bestest most wonderfullest person in the whole wide world, got the two of us tickets to the 'Twilight Experience'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Best birthday present EVER, right? Anyway, we went together at 2:30, when seating began (Twilight didn't begin until four hours later). For the record, Eclipse is the best Twilight Saga movie yet! For those of you who have yet to see it, go. Now. Seriously. I cried. (SHUT UP! not funny... I can hear you laughing)

I also read the awesome book Graceling by Kristin Cashore. I loved it so much!!!! Much thanks to Wriggles, who convinced me to read it. In a world with people are given abnormal abilities, or Graces, in certain areas, Katsa is shunned. Her Grace is a terrifying one. She is a killer.

I also read a few manga this week. First, the Crazy Love Story series by Lee Vins. I loved it. Normally I'm not into manga, but this week it seemed unusally good. Sung Moo has loved Hae Jung from afar for a long time, but she has eyes only for Jimmy, an unusual foreigner with bright blue hair. This enters the three of them into a seriously crazy love story. Second, I read Vol. 2 & 3 (library didn't have Vol. 1)of Princess Ai, co-authored by Courtney Love, Ai Yazawa, Mishao Kujradou, and DJ Milky (google him). It was average, three out of five stars. But still good. Just not great.

All right, eleven days till my birthday. Start buying those presents! (Tip: Spirit Bound by Rachelle Mead, or anything from Hot Topic!)

Love and lemon drops,
Victoria
