Good Golly

Ohmichaeljackson I just realized that I haven't posted since December! That is ridiculous! I must be crazy! So, here's what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna give you a quick little rap with books and stuff. Here we go. :D

I just starting watching anime in my overly-geeky manner. This is a picture of the cast from my current favorite, Fullmetal Alchemist. I'm also watching the remake, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. They are both INCREDIBLE!!!! J'aime Edward Elric!
Books:
For January:

Peeps by Scott Westerfeld- Yes, I know that I use this author's books a lot, but hey, he rocks! So here's the summation of this book. In this book, vampires are not supernatural flying creatures. We're talking about a parasite. People who have the parasite are 'parasite-positive' or peeps, for short. Cal is one of the rare few peeps who isn't driven insane by the parasite. But is there more to this disease than he realizes?

For February:
Let's see if I can find something sort of romantic in honor of the holiday...

The Fearscape by Simon Holt- So maybe I'm just a little cynical. But hey, you get like, one millisecond of romance here! This novel is the incredible conclusion to the Devouring series. I have just one thing to say: When dark creeps in and steals the light
Bury your fear on Sorry Night
For in the winter's blackest hours
Comes the feasting of the Vours
No one can see it
The life they stole
Your body's here
But not your soul
Read books 1 (the Devouring) and 2 (the Soulstice) before reading this one. It's awesome! :D

For March:
Can I review a book I wrote myself? No, probably not... So I'll settle for this.
The Dead and the Gone by Susan Pfeffer-This is a great sequel to Life as We Knew It. It tells the story of a young man living in New York City when a large meteor knocks the moon closer to Earth. This triggers a series of cataclysmic events that alters everything. Now, nothing will be the same. You really should read Life as We Knew It first, but it isn't strictly necessary. I have just learned that there is a third book called This World We Live In, which I have not read. I am anxiously waiting to see if the library has it.

Movies:

I recently saw Gnomeo and Juliet. It was so cute! A great film for the family, with a few jokes that'll get even the adults laughing!

Life in General:I decided today to watch Twilight and New Moon. Taylor decided to join me. Decided. Yup, my brother has crossed over to the Twilight side. Awesome. I have never been more proud of him as when he freaked out when Edward left Bella. Then he spent the rest of the movie asking when Edward was going to show up! I love my little brother!! Oh, and I have taken up sewing things by hand, such as throw pillows and wrist warmers, that sort of thing. Nothing big yet, but I'm getting pretty good. Finally, a domestic quality where I can only hurt myself!
